Facilities and Operations has primary responsibility for the stewardship of the university's physical properties, including 35 million square feet of building space. We are responsible for sophisticated and complex academic, research and clinical facilities, as well as associated environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.

Kresge and Blau projects receive LEED certification

The Stephen M. Ross School of Business' Kresge renovation and Jeff T. Blau Hall project have received LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a green-building certification program that recognizes facilities for being energy efficient and environmentally sustainable.
